Collectible Memorabilia

One of the fundamental characteristics of mankind is the urge to
surround ourselves with objects that, for various reasons, appeal to us. 
And without a doubt, at least some of the things that interest you are
different from those that appeal to your brother or to your next door neighbour. 
These differing interests form the foundation of the old axiom that “one man’s
trash is another man’s treasure.”  But something, somewhere interests every one of us.

Items that relate to or touch upon a topic of interest to a person are sometimes known as “collectibles” or “collectible memorabilia“.  Pieces of collectible memorabilia are highly sought after by collectors simply because they relate to a favourite subject or theme.  Collectors are willing to pay money – sometimes a lot of money – for these items in order to add them to their collections.

Sometimes the terms “collectible memorabilia,” “collectibles” and “memorabilia” are used interchangeably, as they signify the same general concept.  They are all items that, for a number of different reasons, are desirable to collectors and are able to be found, inherited or purchased in order to be accumulated into large or small collections.  But to be precise, collecting can be a fun hobbie or a serious hobby.
