Experience the thrill of racing play with remote control cars

Experience the Thrill of Racing – Play With Remote Control Cars

Remote control cars, or RC cars, are very different from traditional RC cars. Traditional models are not as fun and thrilling because the cars tend to be smaller. Also, the technology is not as advanced. Most are battery operated and when it comes to speed and maneuvering, there is not much to shout about.

Today, the RC cars scene is totally different. There are a wide variety of cars that you can play with. There are electric cars, as well as gas and nitro powered cars. The best part is, they come in almost any shape and sizes! If you don’t like racing cars, you can try out trucks and buggies. Both on-road and off-road models are available for your enjoyment.

With better technology and bigger sizes, one would expect the prices to be sky high as well. However, due to intense competition from the Chinese, Japanese and Taiwanese manufacturers, prices are kept surprisingly low.

For those who are not satisfied with the original model, just spend a little money and you can customize your RC car to your own liking. You can buy new wheels for your car, or any body parts that you’d like to replace. The accessories and parts that you purchase can be used to enhance the appearance and performance of your car.

Many RC car enthusiasts are opting for the more exciting off-road 4WD cars. Just look around your neighborhood. Chances are, you can find remote control car communities that are very active. It’s never fun to play with an RC car on your own. So you want to find an active group so that you can participate in races.

The benefits of belonging to an active community are endless. By being around people who share the same interest as you do, you can start interesting conversations about RC cars. More experienced hobbyists can share tips and advice with you. Learn from them and see if you can improve the speed of your car.

Usually, such communities hang out in a few man-made racing “circuits”. A racing circuit can be a dirt track that is setup for races and practice sessions. There may be bumps, obstacles and deadly turns on the circuit. You can use the same tracks to practice controlling your car. Speed is nothing if you can’t control it. You want your car to be able to complete races.

Once you are more confident in the handling of the car, you can start participating in races. However, note that the fine tuning process is always an on-going one. As your skill improves, you may find that you need to make improvements to your car. Also, you may need to tweak your car for maximum performance on different tracks.

But bear in mind that tweaking is not for everyone. Mostly, it’s for more advanced RC hobbyists. If you prefer some simple entertainment, then choose a 2-speed 4WD that doesn’t need much adjustments. The goal here is not to have a fast car. Rather, you just want to enjoy watching the monster car go over some really challenging obstacles. What fun!

People use price guides for a number of reasons, usually to determine the value of an item that they own. If an item isn’t listed in the top 20, it doesn’t mean it is unpopular or that there isn’t a demand for it. It only means that in January there was less interest in finding prices for that item.
Terry Kovel will discuss the content of this release or any other antiques and collectibles topics with accredited media. Pictures available. Contact pr@Kovels.com.

How to have a successful garage sale

How to Have a Successful Garage Sale

Having a successful garage sale is an exciting experience and can net you additional monies for items you no longer want.  Hard work and a great deal of planning will give you the desired results.   Remember, your trash can be another persons’ treasure.

In the town where I live, a neighbor displays his unwanted items for sale a number of times a year.  I go out of my way to pass this house, hoping to see the “Yard Sale” sign by the road.  The people are accommodating and there is something for everyone.  Dishes and precious items are artfully displayed on tables and clearly marked with a price.  Toys are on the driveway so children can see them and old furniture, baskets and tools are strategically placed at the end of the driveway.  If something catches my eye, I stop to see what other items are available.

Even though prices are clearly marked, I often negotiate a lower price.  I love yard sales and a bargain, so my suggestions are a guideline for a successful yard sale.

     1. Plan on the time of year you want to have your yard sale.  It is not a good idea to have a sale if the weather is too hot or cold or near the holidays and don’t forget a rain date.

     2. Look through your attic, basement, garage, back yard and shed or even in your home for the items you want to get sell.  Decide if you want to have a neighborhood sale or a combined sale with your friends or family.  Remember, the more of a selection of items, the better your yard sale will be.

     3. Advertise.  Advertise.  Advertise.  Go to http://www.urummage.com for an economical way to advertise your sale.  Remember, you can download signs, a checklist for your yard sale, as well as, get the maximum exposure in your area for a relatively low price.  The longer you advertise, prior to your sale, the more of a success you will have.  (Note:  Urummage.com does not guarantee a successful yard sale.  Success depends on you.)

     4. Now you can concentrate on marking your items with a price.  Try using tags or stickers on each item.  This way you can code the item with a letter and price.  If you have a multi-family yard sale, the letter can represent the last name of the owners’ item and the price of the item.  As you sell the items, collect the tags and at the end of the day, you will be able to calculate who gets the money.  You can also keep a notebook to jot down the code, price and brief description.

     5.  Your customers will probably want to negotiate prices because everyone loves a bargain!  Be fair, you want folks to come back if you happen to have another sale.

     6. If you have antiques for sale, a suggestion would be to have the item appraised.

     7. Finally, have enough cash on hand at the start of your sale to make change.

     8. Do yourself a favor, if you either have items left from your sale, save them for an upcoming yard sale or donate them to the needy.  The purpose of your sale is to get rid of your stuff!

     9. The Resources Section is a useful guide to help ease the pain of having a Successful Yard Sale.  You will find links to familiar sites on reference material, supplies and suggestions.

The best sale is a planned sale.  You do not want to have to run around the day of the sale collecting your items.  Start at least two months before the sale and take inventory of the items you want to sell.  Maybe you have children’s items that you no longer need.  Group them together, take a picture of each group and list them on uRummage.com.   You will find when you are organized your sale can have a positive impact on viewers all over the country.

Now, get started and advertise on uRummage.com for exposure you will not get from advertising in your local paper.   Remember, uRummage.com will be the largest listing of rummage sales on the internet. uRummage

World gold bullion coins gold eagles gold maple leaf krugerrand and more

World Gold Bullion Coins: Gold Eagles, Gold Maple Leaf, Krugerrand, and More

Coins are usually collected just as a hobby. But you can actually buy these things called gold bullion coins, which retain a value equal to their weight in gold, literally! Gold bullion coins are usually available in a variety of sizes, usually 1 troy ounce or less. There are so many world gold bullion coins released by various countries.
The South African Krugerrand was first issued in 1967. The Krugerrand is available in one, half, quarter, and tenth troy ounces. It has a fineness of 22 carats, meaning it is 91.67% pure gold. Over 46 million ounces of the South African Krugerrand have been sold through 2008. It was first minted to assist in marketing South African gold.
The American Gold Eagle was first issued in 1986. This coin is also available in the same sizes that the Krugerrand is in. It’s also 22 carats. A single troy ounce Gold Eagle coin has a face value of $50, but the gold in the coin is worth over 18 times that amount.
The Mexican Gold Libertad was released in 1982. It’s available in the 4 sizes mentioned above, as well as an extra twentieth troy ounce size. The interesting thing about the Libertad is that it’s not just 22 carats. It’s actually 24 carats, meaning that the coin is 99.9% pure gold. The Libertad is also available in silver, where sizes go up to a whole kilogram.
The Canadian Gold Maple Leaf is Canada’s official gold bullion coin. Like the Libertad, it is released in five different sizes. The Royal Canadian Mint set new standard for gold purity with the Maple Leaf, as it released a special version coin in 2007 that was 99.999% pure gold, nearly no base metals. The same mint also produced a massive 100 kilogram gold bullion coin. Needless to say, only five were produced. The Maple Leaf’s gold comes direct from Canada’s mines.
The Austrian Philharmonic is released in five sizes, all with 24 carats. The largest size is the 1000 troy ounce coin, which equates to around 69 pounds. It has a face value of 100,000 euros, and 15 coins were minted in 2004.
As you can clearly see, the minting of gold bullion coins doesn’t stop at the larger countries. It’s a global thing, because these coins actually help an economy (see Krugerrand). Many of these coins, although they have a face value, end up being worth around $1000 no problem, but you have to take size into account. A 1/20th troy ounce coin will probably be worth 20 times less than a one troy ounce coin. Nevertheless, watch the price charts of gold and you’re going to see a similar trend in almost every single one of the world gold bullion coins.

Casinos online calling all women

Casinos Online- Calling All Women

When most people think about online gaming they usually imagine an older male figure. That might have been the case a decade ago but times have changed. When you look at any televised poker event you’ll see many women. They even have tournaments created just for female players. You might even see casinos online catered especially for women and about women. The popularity of gaming has brought numerous females to these gaming sites.

Top “celebrity” poker players have raised the bar and brought international attention to the sport. Women like Jennifer Tilly, an Oscar nominated actress was taught poker by her boyfriend. Jennifer Harman started playing poker just to pay her mortgage. Both of these two women paved the way for millions of females to get involved. Each of them both named Jennifer won tournaments and broke records. In Annie Duke’s own words she states, “Poker is one of the only sports where a woman can compete on totally equal footing with a man, so I don’t know why there’s a ladies only tournament.

Women are quickly learning that online gaming isn’t just for the boys. It is fun and now even considered “sexy.” They can earn some extra money gambling at casinos online as well if they play their cards right.

Keep in mind that both of the above women are poker players however, there are women that are winning big prizes on other online games as well. Cathy Hulbert, Erica Schoenberg, Joanna Wlodawer are all blackjack and poker players. So remember guys the next time you play against a female don’t automatically assume she doesn’t have clue and doesn’t know how to play as that is liable to be your first mistake and potentially your last mistake. Once you realize you’re been had it would be too late game over. She just pysched you out.

If you are a female you could join the ranks of top female winners. The only thing that differentiates you from those top earners is training and practice. Check out the top gaming forums, ask questions. Get a coach to teach you what you need to know. Read up on how the top women in the industry got to the top. If you don’t win the big bucks don’t give up. Jennifer Tilly didn’t start playing poker until her boyfriend taught her. She later went on to win the World Poker Tour Ladies Night III, and the World Series of Poker Ladies No-Limit Hold’em Event. This proves that you don’t have to grown up with a vast gambling knowledge. Practice, practice, practice is the key to your success. Decide that you too will join their ranks. As more and more women win the top prizes the reasons to have a ladies only tournament might be eliminated.

Ladies, if a guy doesn’t want to play poker or blackjack with you don’t get upset. He is probably too scared to play against you for fear of losing to a girl.
